Kim's Money Story

“I grew up in a middle-class family where my dad, a teacher, worked at least two jobs all year round. My mom also returned to work full-time when I entered third grade. I knew from a very young age that my parent’s hard work was to ensure a proper education for both my sister and I – Go Blue! – and that saving was an important part of what responsible adults do. Fast forward a few decades and I’ve adopted their philosophy as my own. In addition to saving for my boys’ education and my own retirement, I’ve become increasingly focused on finding saving opportunities wherever I can. HINT: It isn’t a good trip to the grocery store unless I can save at least 25%. Sharing tips to help people save money is a passion, along with translating the knowledge of our advisors and client service team into easy to understand and retainable information in our monthly newsletter.
