This month’s spotlight is on Tyler Stephens. Tyler is a Wealth Advisor.
What are some of the things you like most about being a Wealth Advisor?
I truly enjoy helping clients navigate their financial journey. The constantly changing environment presents opportunities to provide valuable support, and no two days are ever the same. I appreciate working with clients in all phases of life, exploring strategies to help them pursue their goals. One of the most rewarding moments is seeing a client’s sense of relief or confidence when they gain clarity on their financial path, knowing we’ve helped them focus on what matters most to them.
What community organizations / volunteer opportunities are you currently involved in? What do these organizations do and what is your role?
I am a member of the Gen Forward program which is a philanthropic group that allows members to pool funds to make a positive impact in Genessee County through grants to local nonprofits. I have coached varsity lacrosse for 15 years, as well as varsity baseball. I also enjoy coaching youth football and youth baseball through Lake Fenton and Foutch Baseball.
What are a couple of important lessons you have learned while working at SWMG?
Working with your team is just as important as working with clients. Relationship building is huge. There is always a way to meet clients’ goals, sometimes we just need to be more creative.
If you weren’t working in the wealth management field, what do you think you would have done instead?
Coaching at the collegiate level or construction management.
What is something that clients might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m married and have 3 children – Laila , Xavier, and Joaquin. I competed in an Ironman during college.
