IWD Celebration

On March 8th, we had the opportunity to celebrate International Women’s Day, (IWD) with several women clients, friends, and community members. This annual IWD event is celebrated by women all around the world. We have slightly different goals for our celebration each year, with the following as this year’s focus:

  1. Meet new women in the community (and beyond)
  2. Have fun and support one another
  3. Be more confident when “in the (financial) conversation”
  4. Understand how technology and tools can support your financial goals

The presentation provided by advisors Sherri Stephens, Jill Carr, and Jessie Schlanderer helped build awareness and understanding around the increasingly important role women play as it relates to building, overseeing, and passing on wealth. We used our Goals, Plan, and Portfolio model to talk about each area and to provide information to help women be more aware of and confident in short-and long-term financial goals, understand their numbers (net worth, cashflow, credit score, social security, etc.) and how that impacts their financial plan, and making smart decisions as it relates to their portfolio. We also touched on the estate planning documents everyone should have – hint…Powers of Attorney (POA), (financial and medical), Will/Trust, and Beneficiary Designation.

Tables of six women got to know one another better by sharing their own best practices and ideas throughout the presentation. They also had the opportunity to meet with our outstanding team of Client Relationship Associates who shared tips on using the RJ Client Access Mobile App and the Vault. We also shared our new estate planning resources, the Legacy Organizer and “Mom and Dad, We Need to Talk” webinar.

In addition to some pictures from the event, we are also sharing presentation slides.
